Request tracking on the IPinfo side is straightforward: we count every API call that includes your API token. We don't filter out duplicate IP lookups or bot traffic, but we do offer practical guides to help manage request volume efficiently.
Each plan includes a monthly API request limit — monitor limits and usage anytime from the dashboard. Exceeding the limit returns a 429 HTTP status code, which also appears on the dashboard. Paid plans support automatic limit increases for a small additional charge (see overage billing for details).
Regardless of billing cycle, requests reset on the first day of each calendar month.
